Tema LNG Terminal – Ghana

The Tema LNG project in Ghana which was Africa’s first offshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, to secure energy for the country and make LNG available for industrial growth and power generation.

An IP68 lighting solution that was corrosion resistant due to the marine environment was required for terminal access paths on the harbour breakwater walls, located within a few metres of the saltwater’s edge.

Independent of mains power, the SBL2 series is the only commercial grade solar bollard light with a marine grade 6106 extruded aluminium pole that also has an IP68 submersible rating in the world, making it the only suitable choice available for this extreme location.
